small business priorities

Every business owner is faced with many decisions. Trying to prioritize your resources can be challenging. Eventually though every business owner will need to be able to effectively market their business to potential customers. My experience as a graphic designer has lead me to create this list of priorities for business owners looking to launch their marketing with direction and confidence. These are the essentials and I’m listing them in order of importance.

1

Logo

Your logo is the most important piece to your marketing plan. It needs to be simple and recognizable with the ability to carry a consistent message about your business across various mediums. Making a solid logo design a priority with give you the perfect launching point for promoting your small business. Hire a knowledgeable graphic designer and trust them with the vision you have for your company logo.

2

Website

Most potential customers start their buying research process online. Having a website for your small business adds credibility among other reasons. Not having a website takes you out of the conversation completely and makes your business invisible to potential customers.

3

Brochure

Print isn’t dead because it’s still a great way to showcase creativity. It’s also another avenue to make a connection with potential customers. I encourage all small businesses to have a trifold brochure that contains key information needed about your business combined with a solid sales pitch and call to action.

If you’re running a business, you have plenty to think about. But when it comes to marketing your business; these are the items to create first. These essentials will give your marketing a sure footing for expanding your marketing efforts as your business grows. I’d love to help you get started. Contact me and we can get your small business marketing started right.
